WAG staff Amplifying inclusive Policies
With support from the Disability Rights Fund, our team successfully facilitated a national dissemination workshop on Malawi’s National Social Protection Policy. The workshop aimed to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and promote inclusive implementation strategies that ensure persons with disabilities are not left behind.
Bringing together key stakeholders from government, civil society, and the disability movement, the event served as a platform to unpack the policy’s provisions and strengthen alignment with disability rights frameworks. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on the importance of social protection systems that are responsive to the unique challenges faced by marginalized communities, particularly persons with disabilities.
This workshop represents a significant step toward building an inclusive and equitable social protection agenda in Malawi—grounded in dignity, equity, and the principles of "Leave No One Behind."
