Ensuring Accountability in Development through Citizen-Led Reporting Transparency and community feedback are the cornerstones of successful development. Following our recent field visits to Ntchisi and Nkhotakota, the Citizen Engagement Committee (CEC) is currently in its formal reporting phase for World Bank-funded project GESD(Governance to Enable Service Delivery) project. We were honored to have our Executive Director, Ms. Stella Nkhonya present during this session. Her leadership ensures that the unique needs of persons with disabilities are integrated into the final oversight reports. These documents serve as a critical bridge between local community voices and national-level decision-making, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of service delivery.

Advancing Inclusive Development in Malawi under the world bank governance to Enable service delivery projects Ms. Stella Nkhonya, Executive Director of the WAG Disability Rights, serves in the Steering Committee of the Citizen Engagement Committee. This body is responsible for the monitoring World Bank-GESD funded projects across Malawi. As part of this mandate, Ms. Nkhonya recently conducted monitoring visits to the GESD(Governance to Enable Service Delivery) project sites in Ntchisi and Nkhotakota. Her participation ensures that disability inclusion and citizen voices remain at the heart of national development initiatives.
