Kynnysry Finland
Finland Project under KyNnSry: The EmpowerHer Project (2024–2034) supports women and girls with disabilities to access SRHr. It works with rights holders, service providers, policymakers, and parents of children with disabilities in Chinsapo, Kauma, Area 23, and Senti.
FCDO (UK Aid)
What Works 2 Project: A five-year UK Aid-funded initiative in Balaka and Lilongwe aimed at ending intimate partner violence. It promotes prevention and response for women and girls with disabilities through SASA! and Moyo Olemekezeka (Dignified Life), reaching over 7,000 people.
Social Development Direct
Survivor Support Fund (2022–2024): A two-year response grant for survivors of SEAH, supporting over 1,200 individuals in Ntchisi and Lilongwe through accompaniment programs.
European Union
African Disability Protocol Project: A three-year consortium project (2025–2028) with partners in Zambia and Zimbabwe, focusing on popularizing and domesticating the African Disability Protocol in Dowa and Lilongwe.
Black Feminist Fund
Core Grant (3 Years): A flexible fund supporting organizational growth, capacity building, and policy engagement for women and girls with disabilities in Salima and Lilongwe.
Mama Cash
Multi-year Grant (2016–2025): Advocating social and economic empowerment for women and girls with disabilities — over 1,300 supported in Senti, Kauma, Area 23, and Mlodza.
African Women Development Fund
Core Grant (2021–2023): Supported advocacy for reviewing the National SRH Policy and accessibility audits of public buildings, pushing for increased disability-related budget allocations.
Disability Rights Fund
Implementation Support (2021–2024): Advocacy for the implementation of the UNCRPD aligned with Malawi’s Disability Policy and the SDGs.
Urgent Action Fund
Emergency Response Grant: Strengthening rapid response and protection mechanisms for women and girls with disabilities facing violence or discrimination.
Hivos
SRH rights to women and girls with disabilities at national and regional level :Hivos aims to strengthen Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) rights for women and girls with disabilities at both national and regional levels by promoting inclusive policies, amplifying the voices of women with disabilities in decision-making spaces, and supporting advocacy initiatives that advance equitable access to SRH information and services. Through collaboration with local organizations, government institutions, and regional networks, Hivos will work to influence policy reforms, enhance the capacity of service providers to deliver disability-inclusive SRH services, and foster an enabling environment where women and girls with disabilities can exercise their rights with dignity, autonomy, and confidence.
