Chris Jalakasi

MEL Coordinator / MEL officer

Chris is a MEL Officer, Gender and disability rights activist with expertise in Special needs, ICT, and graphic design. He is currently working under the What Works 2 Project “Pamodzi Kuthetsa Nkhanza” funded by FCDO. He plays a key role in tracking the performance and impact of rights-based and holistic programs which focus on reducing intimate partner violence and empowering women. He brings a strong foundation in data collection, management, analysis and inclusive programming.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Special Needs, a professional certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of Washington, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Project Planning and Management at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. He is known for being adaptable, initiative-taking, with the ability to deliver data-informed insights and present evidence-based results. He is enthusiastic about leadership, collaboration, innovation, social change, especially in community development and gender-based programming.
