Bridget Oscar Phiri is a passionate Social Worker and development professional with over six years of experience in gender equality, disability inclusion, youth empowerment, GBV prevention, SRHR programming and project management. She currently serves as the Senior Programmes Coordinator and Empower-Her Project Lead at Human Rights of Women and Girls with Disabilities in Malawi.
Through the Empower-Her Project, Bridget leads initiatives focused on advancing the rights of women, girls, and children with disabilities through advocacy, mentorship, community engagement and inclusive programming. In her role as Senior Programmes Coordinator, she oversees and supervises all projects within the organization ensuring quality implementation, accountability and compliance with donor and organizational requirements.
Bridget has previously worked with organizations including ActionAid International Malawi, Youth Forum for National Transformation (YOFONAT), Global Platform Malawi and the Young Feminist Network in Malawi. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with a Minor in Special Needs Education and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Project Management at The University of Malawi (UNIMA).
