Today in Dowa District, Human Rights for Women and Girls with Disabilities in Malawi – hrwgdm in partnership with DAPP Malawi successfully conducted a Digital Storytelling Training and Online Platform Creation under the U4ADP Project, bringing together OPDs and CSOs.
The training focused on equipping participants with practical skills to use storytelling as a powerful tool for advocacy and change. Key objectives of the training were to:
• Build practical storytelling skills for advocacy
• Strengthen capacity to influence media and policy
• Design simple social media advocacy campaigns
• Create real digital content (videos, infographics, and posts)
• Use storytelling to drive action and community impact
Members were introduced to the power of social media and guided on how to create and manage online platforms such as Facebook. The training sparked great enthusiasm, with participants expressing how much they learned and how they now better understand the role of digital platforms in amplifying their work.
We are proud to see OPDs and CSOs motivated to actively share their stories, raise awareness, and reach wider audiences to drive meaningful change.
