We were honored to host a project monitoring visit from the Regional SRHR Fund, Hivos Southern Africa we were joined by Brenda Mwiinga Chishala Regional Capacity Strengthening Programme Officer and Lizzie Hangala Regional Finance Officer. During the visit Brenda commended WAG for our impactful work noting how our rights holders are now confidently articulating their concerns and demanding equal access to services. This progress is a direct result of our ongoing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) programs supported by Hivos.
Key Highlights from the Visit:
• Empowerment: Communities are demonstrating a stronger ability to advocate for their own rights.
• Collaboration: We discussed the vital role of partnerships between health facilities and law enforcement to ensure smooth service delivery for girls with disabilities.
• Future Growth: Plans are already underway to scale these successful approaches to even more communities across Malawi.
